Obituary of Trudy Tanya Stewart
Trudy Tanya Stewart, beloved mother, devoted sister and cherished friend, passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 49 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Trudy was born in Jamacia in 1975, the daughter of Joy Morgan and Clarence Stewart. She moved to Canada when she was 6 years old. Trudy had 12 siblings and grew up in the Toronto area, where her kind-hearted nature and unwavering determination shone from an early age. Trudy's life was a testament to her resilience and compassion, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.
Above all, Trudy cherished her role as a loving mother to Vanida Savory, Chazz Fearon and Tianna Stewart Johnson. Trudy was also a grandmother to Mila Squirres and an aunt to many. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to their upbringing, nurturing them with unconditional love, wisdom, and guidance. Her family was her greatest joy, and her home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter.
Trudy's kindness extended beyond her family, touching the lives of countless friends and community members. Her gentle spirit and empathetic ear offered solace to those in need, making her a cherished confidante and friend.
In her leisure time, Trudy enjoyed cooking, having fun with friends, spending time with family and finding joy in simple pleasures and creating lasting memories with those she held dear. Her love for everyone was infectious, bringing people together and fostering bonds that endured through the years.
Trudy Stewart leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be carried on by her beloved family and her extended family. Though she is no longer with us, Trudy's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A celebration of Trudy's life will be held at New Haven Funeral Centre where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life.
Trudy Stewart will be deeply missed but never forgotten, her legacy of love and kindness continuing to inspire all who were touched by her grace.
Rest in peace,
Mommy.
At the request of Trudy's family, kindly wear all black.
