OBITUARY FOR MRS. ISMAY EDITH KETURA ROMEO (nee VanPedro)

IsmayRomeo departed this life on 27thMarch, 2018

at the Orangeville Hospital (near Toronto) Ontario, Canada

at the age of 100 yrs. and 10 months.

Ismaywas born May 11th, 1917 in Buxton Front Middle-walk, East Coast Demerara, Guyana, to the late Louisa Griffith (Cousin Gena) and

William Pedro. She was the last surviving member of her three siblings:

Ada Bacchus, Winston (Wonsford) VanPedro, and Oscar Joseph.

Step-mother to the late Andrei Romeo

Ismayemigrated from Guyana to London, U.K. where she lived

for many years. She then migrated to Toronto, Canada,

where she lived for over 40 years.

Ismayis survived by her daughter, Mrs. Norma Bascom (nee Sandiford),

her step-son Andrew Romeo residing in New York.

Her grand-daughter Donna Bascom, grand-sons Derek and Corey Bascom;

Great-Grandmother of 15; Aunt of 9:Van-Pedro,’Bacchus, Clarke, Roberts.

Cousin to the Adams, Carters, Christies, Fosters, Herods,

Souvenirs, Thompsons, Watsons, and others.

The Funeral Service for the late IsmayRomeowill be held at the

NEW HAVEN FUNERAL CENTRE, 7025 Legion Rd. Mississauga, On. Canada.

Her remains will be flown to Guyana for Service and interment at the

Congregational Cemetery , Buxton Front, E.C. Demerara
