Obituary of Sonia Joyce Jones

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sonia Joyce Jones, who died on Monday, December 28, 2020.

Sonia was a loving mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was best known for her soft voice, her welcoming smile, her generosity, kindness, love and compassion for others.

Things that Sonia enjoyed doing was travelling, cooking, shopping, singing and going out for her daily walks.

She is survived by her daughter Simonne Jones, grandchildren Malachi and Makayla Reid, sisters: Velma Francis, Alice Bailey and Marcia Thomas, brother Leeroy Francis and many nieces and nephews.

Sonia touched so many people’s lives and will be greatly missed.

FUNERAL SERVICE:

The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support , however, due to the current pandemic restrictions, the service will be for immediate family only.

PANDEMIC INSTRUCTIONS:

Please be advised there is a 10 ppl maximum capacity permitted in the funeral home (includes children and babies) and a 10 person maximum at the cemetery.  Staff will be continuously monitoring capacity numbers. Once we have reached capacity, guests will be asked to remain outside as there is NO gathering in the funeral centre at any time.

MANDATORY:  Face masks must be worn inside of the funeral centre at all times.
