So sad to hear of Bev's passing, she was a wonderful person and supported me greatly as a novice nurse. She was a great help when my father fell ill and assisted in his transfer to get the surgery he needed to save his life. You are a beautiful person, may you rest in peace.

Dear Beverley, Thank you for being such an amazing friend for Mum and our family. You are not just a best friend to our family, you are family but also like a big sister to Mum. You were someone she could always count on, talk to, go to for advice and know everything will be alright. Your joyful spirit, presence and ability to see the positivity in any situation was always a breath of fresh air, you truly had a heart of gold. You never dropped a beat in being there for all of your friends and family including us, always checking in to make sure we were good. You will be missed beyond words could describe. Me and Mum had a trifle the other day, it was not nearly as good as yours.
Dear Terry & Family, I can't imagine how hard this is. My heart is with you all. Look fwd to when I return home to give you all a big hug and of course a firm hand shake.
Love & Blessings, Anthony xxx

Beverley was a very special friend, my rum and coke buddy at social events. She was a lively part of our FOD circle of very close friends. Our circle now has a gaping hole.
Beverley had a mischievous sense of humour but when needed could impart some serious sage advice. She was always considerate and supportive and very smart.
My dear friend was in fact a total class act. I loved her and will miss her forever. Rest In Peace darling in the loving arms of

When I was working as a paediatric nurse at Humber, Bev was my director. She had this infectious smile and always glowing with positivity. It was refreshing and even when I moved into another role, we still had our connections through projects or events that we attended. I truly will miss this presence and I am so glad to have known her in the many years she was at our hospital. Rest In Peace, Bev. Know that we miss you dearly and our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this very difficult time.

I am so sorry about your loss. Bev was such a lovely heart.
She was so funny. She would often sit at the back during boring management meetings at Sinai and like clockwork if the meeting went on for too long she would fall asleep.
She once phoned me when we both had moved on, working at other hospitals. She introduced herself and asked if I remembered her. I said: "How could I forget Sleeping Beauty."
She said: "You cheeky brat". Bev was such a dedicated and kind person. She was so proud of her children. I never met her son but I knew Nadine quite well. I can not believe she has left this world. But I am sure she is lighting up Heaven. God Bless Brenda Stade

Dearest sister .
You were the light of our lives and the light to so many people blessed to have had you in theirs.
Being your little sister, I always looked up to you and marvelled in amazement at your capacity and capability. Your super heroine tenacity always left me speechless and despite all that you achieved in life, your humility was without a doubt yet another something to add to the endless list of things to admire you for.
You offered the soundest advice. Always kept a secret. Never jumped the gun or judged.
Instead you would listen, remain silent for a while and then calmly , lovingly and wisely open up a window to a solution that I never even imagined could be opened. You never once said I told you so, or ever reproached. Ever! Instead of that , you shone your light and always made our world a better place.
I remember your gentle caring touch on my hand to refrain me from stepping into prickly situations and the reassurance from your warm and loving eyes reminding me that you were by my side and somehow, we would get through this and whatever, together.
And now you're not here...What a sad place this world is without your presence dear Bev.
Our family reunions will never be the same without your bright and beautiful smile, your wit, caring manner, fun and cheeky nature, but most of all, your love for your family who miss you more than words can say. Thank you for all you have given us!!
However, although we cannot see you, we can feel your light shining on us, around us and most importantly within us.
Keep shining sister !!

Was ‘how was school’ I always tried to prepare an answer that you would approve of.
I will remember the glamor you bought to all occasions and how you were a lady of-leisure as we always joked. You always had a calm presence and such a fun loving nature about you. When I confided in you I knew my inner most thoughts and feelings were safe with you.

To my dear Auntie Bev:
You weren't my auntie by blood, but you may as well have been. There's the family you're born into, and the family you choose from the special people you meet during your life.
I still remark about how amazing it is that you and my mom grew up in the same town in Jamaica; you moved to the UK years before my mom moved to Canada, you'd all had lost touch; then, amazingly, years later, you both discovered you'd both moved to the same neighbourhood in Mississauga, just 5 mins drive apart.
One of my mom's very best friends, founding member of the FOD Club (which stood for Females of Distinction, they'd tell us), so family you are, and will always remain. The kids of the FOD members felt like family too, so I'm keeping and holding Nadine and Stu in my heart, thinking of Uncle Terry, and keeping Jordan, Terrence, Benjamin, and Tanya in my thoughts.
I can still hear your rich laughter, and "Hello darling," when I'd call you on the phone...I will miss you forever. My mom will miss you forever.
I know you're looking down from heaven, enjoying a good rum and coke. Rest in peace, Auntie Bev.
With Love,

My deepest condolence to Terry, Nadine, Stuart and family. To my dear friend Beverley or as I called you “Lady Bev” because that is what you were, a true lady. I’ll miss your beautiful smile, your kind nature and all the laughter we shared with our FOD ladies over the years. You certainly have left a footprint in my heart and I will always remember you. May you find peace now in God's home and there is no doubt that you will become an angle to take care of your family and friends. RIP my friend, Love Monica

Aunty Bev,
you didn't just watch me take my first step, you gave me great advice when I had my first child! Thank you for taking the role of Godmother seriously and being so fun to talk to - even when I refused to make Thanksgiving Dinner from scratch.
Love and miss you!

My dear friend, Beverly, of 52 years. We met at nursing school in England and how much fun we had; young, naughty and giggly girls. We were really bad :-)
We were together when we met our spouses. We celebrated the births of each of our children and took delight in watching them grow up. You Beverly, saw my daughter take her first step. We could talk about everything and anything.
Your passing is like a broken rib. Nobody can see it, but it hurts every time you breathe. Rest in eternal eace my friend.

My prayer and condolences to the family.. Beve, you left us too soon. Beve gave me my first nursing job opportunity as a brand new grad. Her loving, caring and kindness was very much appreciated.
I will miss you dearly. May you rest in peace Beve.

Gone too soon. I am saddened by the loss of a dear friend and colleague. Bev, I will miss your friendship of kindness, your dry humour, laughter and talks of diplomacy in critical times. Your dedication to family was admirable. I have fond memories of how proud you were of them as you celebrated their various milestones. Your passion for nursing and the impact of your leadership is a legacy for the nursing community. You will for ever be remembered by those you mentored and lead. The nursing community has lost a champion. You will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Bev,
you welcomed me with open arms as a new director 8 years ago at HRH. You became a peer and most importantly a big sister. Together we shared many laughs and fun times. I will forever miss you big sister...I love you more than words can ever say. You will always be in my heart. Until we meet again. Love always

I think there are truths in this world that speak to what kind of soul lies within. The truth of Bev, (or mum Philp), is that she loved fully and completely. You were welcomed at her table. She raised so many of us as her own. I am privileged and proud to have been included in her love. To have been raised by her. To have had her by my side. Xo love- Andrea
