Our deepest condolences to Brother Martin and the entire family during this incredibly sad and difficult time.
I remember Sis Elaine as a gentle and kind woman. She was soft spoken and exuded grace, and over the years since I met her, she was always impeccably dressed, with her hair done just right. I remember her unwaveringly holding on to the belief that I am from Kingston Jamaica, despite my gentle reminders that I am Guyanese. It never failed to bring a smile to my face. In our last encounter she hilariously reminded me that I had her phone number, so there was no need for me to send greetings to her through her husband. She will be deeply missed, but her kindness, grace, and warmth will forever be with us. Sleep in Peace Sis Elaine.

Martin, words fail me, I’m trying to offer condolences but I cannot believe I am saying this to you about your great loss of Elaine, the other pea in your pod!! I close my eyes and see the wide happy smile and sparkle in the eyes of both of you as you buzzed around East Toronto Church at 170 Westwood Avenue. I can only empathize with you, however, I am convinced that the Lord will never leave nor forsake you on your new solo journey through the valley of the shadow of death. I know the days and months ahead will not be easy. Take courage from the promise that weeping may endure for the night but joy, Real Joy will return in the morning. Blessings upon you our longtime friend Martin. Please accept our condolences both to you and the entire Forskin and Harris families!

My deepest condolences to Martin and the entire family. Elaine was such a wonderful soul who warmly welcomed me into her home, and in turn, she found a special place in my heart. It’s hard to believe she is no longer with us. I will forever treasure the beautiful memories we shared—our game nights, tea times (and her sweet reminder to stick my pinky out while sipping tea), and the privilege of lighting the candle for our Sabbath lunches. Though her earthly light has gone out, her candle will forever burn brightly in my heart. Knowing Elaine has truly been a blessing, and I hold on to the hope of seeing her again when Christ returns. With love always, Peta-Gay.

Lynn and Ralston Rose expressing our deepest and sincerest condolences to the Forskin's family who have touched our lives in such a significant way, It is hard to imagine that Elaine, this spectacular woman of God is no longer with us. Her love for her family and others will remain indelible in our hearts. "But until then our hearts will go on singing, Until then with joy we'll carry on, until the day my eyes behold the city, Until the day, God calls us home."
Be encouraged, because it won't be be long when we shall see Elaine again, if we remain faithful.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. Losing Elaine is surreal and feels like closing an era which I am not ready for. The first family I encountered upon moving to Canada were the Forskin’s …as close friends of my Aunt Evy and Uncle Roy they collectively embraced me, treated me as family, added me to the invite lists for all the activities my family would already by on and checked in on my spiritual health. My first memory of Elaine was her smile, her warmth and then later I would be blessed to enjoy her cooking on several occasions. Elaine is the type of Christian we were raised to be the ones who live and exude Jesus’s love “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven”-Matthew 5:16 She was a light and an ambassador of Christ through and through. I will never forget her kindness and warmth and I will forever tell of her good works! Photos here show Elaine with the smile I recall, posing with the love of her life Martin and with my cousin Andrew (who we always joke was her other hubby)!
WALK GOOD our dear Elaine you will be extremely missed.
