Obituary of Cleveland Gooden

In Loving Memory of Cleveland Gooden 1959 - 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing as Cleveland Gooden, affectionately known as Neville, on December 8th, 2024 in his home in Brampton, Ontario after a sudden heart attack.

He is survived by his two sons, Gavin and Wade, three sisters, Pam and Janet, and his brother Ben and a huge family of nieces, nephews and cousins. His tough demeanor hide a kind and loving character quick to full bellied laughs, wry smiles and amazing stories, filled with detail, excitement and a bit of drama.

A long and decorated career as a Special Constable in Jamaica and in Canada with the Toronto Community Housing changed the life of thousands of people and the policing in Toronto itself. During his time, he inspired, mentored and shared amazing memories with his officers across Toronto.

He will be forever loved and his time with us cherished.
