Dear Janet, Dwain and family: I am so saddened by the news of Sis. Andy's passing.
My sincere condolences on the loss of your dear mother...never easy to loose a mother. Sis. Andy was a calm, caring, loving and encouraging Saint of God. She was always ready to help and to serve. I recalled when she worked at the Webster Memorial Clinic for the Aged, that she used her influence to get my sick mom signed up there to receive medical services. Her valuable and timely advice and care in dealing with the matter was priceless and gave us relief and hope in the situation...a testiment of her desire and "calling" to be led by the Holy Spirit to give help and encouragement to others, both in the Havenhill Church community and outside the walls of the church. May her legacy live on in her children and granchildren. She lives on in our hearts...remarkable woman of God!! May her soul RIP!!!
We continue to pray that the God of all comfort will bring comfort and strength to the family as you go through the pain and grief of her passing. God is able to carry you through as difficult as it may get. He is in control and He loves you my friends and cares for you, especially as believers. He carries you in His arms at these times. He knows how you feel and sees the tears; a language that He understands.
We continue to pray for you and stand in the gap for you and the rest of the family.

The Brown's family offers our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sister Anderson. For over fifty years, that we have known her, she has been like a mother to Lilieth and myself. Saturdays would find us at her home eating her most enjoyable cooking and refreshing drink, her late husband Edric, Janet, and Dawn didn't see us as an intrusion and welcome smiles, and laughter confirmed this.
As the church secretary, she took both minutes and kept the financial records professionally always timely and accurately.
She loved the Lord and demonstrated this by her love of her fellow believers.
Her "well done thou good and faithful servant"was truly earned
Rest Sister in the arms of your Saviour and Lord .

Sister Anderson (Miss Andi) was truly an amazing woman. She was always kind to us growing up as children at Havenhill Baptist Church. She always had a smile and a kind word whenever I would visit the McDonald home. Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren. What a legacy and what a blessed woman.

Christopher & Jassette Bryan: Chris - I became a member of Havenhill Baptist Church, Jamaica, in 1975 and recalled Sis Joyce Anderson being our Church's Secretary/Treasurer. She was the epitome of what it meant to be organized. As a matter of fact she recorded every event of the church, absolutely. She was our memory bank and could always pull for the records to confirm any information required. I remember Sis Andy, as she was affectionately called, being always caring, loving, pleasant and with a bright full teeth smile. She loved the Lord and was always present at almost all services of our church along with her 2 daughters, Janet & Dawn. She did not know how to say "no" to requests as she was always willing to aid in finding answers while maintaining her pleasant personality.
In addition to the above Jassette, my wife, remembered Sis Anderson as a gentle giant. She was a woman of integrity, displayed inner strength and was deeply admired for the stance she took in guiding her daughters in the ways of the Lord. Jassette recalled one night at church when her younger daughter Dawn was 7 years old and gave her testimony with much confidence. She had to be put to stand on a chair to be seen as she was tiny. She noted that it was evident that the Christian upbringing Sis Anderson extended to her family had triggered something in little Dawn’s mind to accept the Lord and be a witness at that tender age. Additionally, her older daughter Janet ably assisted her Mom and was quite involved in various ministries within our church. Both daughters had learnt much from their mother and they also had a penchant for keeping a record (mental or written) of every significant and insignificant thing that happened in their lives; they pay attention to details. Jassette spoke of being amazed once when Janet shared with her that she was able to calculate her monthly credit card bills which always tallied with the statement from the bank!!! Dawn is able to share dates and times several events happened many years in the past. These are some of the characteristics Sis Andy passed on to her daughters.
As young people we admired the humility of the Andersons, a very strong trait that permeated mother and daughters. We know without the shadow of a doubt that Proverbs 31:28a has been embraced by Sis Anderson's children and their families (Janet & Dwain, Melanie, Matthew & Kim; Dawn & Darrin) – “Her children rise up and call her blessed;”. Sis Anderson has been that Proverbs 31 woman; took very good care of her late husband Edric and her daughters. This was also extended to her son-in-law Dwain and grandchildren, Melanie & Matthew. We and our children, Kristojay & Christopher, give God thanks for the positive impact Sis Anderson and family have made on our lives. She maybe gone, but remains in our hearts and will never be forgotten. Sleep in peace Sis Andy. The Bryan’s Family.

To The Anderson Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Aunt Joyce's passing. Although I haven't seen her in years, her memory remains dear to my heart. I cherish the moments we shared and the love she showed me.
One fond memory that stands out is the family reunion at her home, where I spent time with my sister Jean, cousin Beverly, and other loved ones. Aunt Joyce made sure we felt the joy of being a family unit, surrounded by all my aunts. Her warmth and hospitality created a sense of belonging that I'll never forget.
When my mother, Myrtle, passed away, Aunt Joyce's encouraging words to Jean and I to remain strong have stayed with me. Her pride in us was palpable, and her humility, generosity, and warm spirit have left a lasting impression on my life.
To my cousins Ann and Dawn, Dwain and Darrin along with her dear grandchildren. Please know that I'm thinking of you all during this difficult time. Although I can't attend the funeral, my heart is with you. I hope the memories and love you shared with Aunt Joyce bring you comfort and strength.
Rest in peace, dear Aunt Joyce. Your legacy lives on in our hearts.
With love and condolences,
Sharon and Jean (Myrtle's daughters)

Tribute to Joyce Regina Anderson
From: Dennise, Claire, Wayne, Beverly and Delroy
Aunt Joyce, our mother's gentle sister,
Quietly became our silent benefactor.
Your gentle spirit, calm and still,
Taught strength in silence, iron will.
In childhood days when times were tough,
When Mom’s road seemed so long and rough,
Your helping hands, though far away,
Eased burdens of our hardest days.
Your gentle ways, your giving heart,
Still shapes us, though we're far apart.
We wish we'd seen you one more time,
To thank you for your love sublime.
In quiet moments, we recall
The selfless love you gave us all.
Aunt Joyce, your legacy still lives on,
In memories of days long gone.
Though you've journeyed to the sky,
In our hearts, you'll never die.

Tribute to Joyce Regina Anderson
From: Shirley (sister)
Joyce, my beloved sister, I'm struggling to find the words to express the ache in my heart. How cruel it seems that we've been apart for so long, and now you're gone forever.
I'm haunted by regret - for not seeing you one more time before you left. If only I'd known our time was so limited. I'd give anything for one more conversation, one more chance to say "I love you."
They say you're in a better place, but selfishly, I wish you were still here. Though you're gone, a part of you will always live within me.
Ann & Dwain, Dawn & Darrin, Pam, Melanie, Matthew, Deon and Brianna, I pray God bestow his strength upon you all during this time of grief.
Rest peacefully, Sister Joyce. Until we meet again, I'll carry your spirit in my heart.

Tribute to Joyce Regina Anderson (nee Wallace)
By: Madge Wallace (sister)
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.”
In sharing fond memories of my God-fearing sister Joyce, one that really stands out is when I was a student nurse in the late 1960's, and I would just pop up at her house. Needless to say, I was usually accompanied by one or two colleagues.
Before you knew it, we would be offered a delicious meal as if by magic. She would have prepared her meal for her family, but no matter the number of unexpected persons who arrived, everyone would be ensured a sumptuous meal that would leave them fully satisfied.
I was often in awe as to how she did it. Her culinary skills knew no bounds. It was as if the food somehow multiplied. Such was her love.
Additionally, I was undoubtedly impacted by her calm demeanor, generosity, and her love for God - the hallmarks of her character. As her younger sister, she always encouraged me and stressed the importance of my spiritual wellbeing. I have kept a letter she wrote to me in 2003 where she quoted a number of profound scripture passages from Nehemiah, Eziekiel, Leviticus and Daniel. I will hold on to this letter a little tighter now.
Joyce's devotion to her family was exemplary. Of course, she was pivotal in the preparation of meals for family reunions and other such celebrations. Subsequently, many family pictures found their backdrop at her home.
Myself, Madge - and her other sibling Doris who reside in Jamaica were unable to be physically present for her homegoing service but our thoughts and spirits are there. We treasure her memories in our hearts.
Ann, Dwain, Dawn, Darrin, Melanie and Matthew, be comforted knowing Mummy/Grandma will always be cherished.
It is extremely hard to say goodbye to someone who was so dear but there is also a peace in knowing that she is at rest. Rest on, my sister. Till we meet again, rest on.
