The family of Beverley Iona Dacres from Toronto, ON is deeply saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, June 23, 2024. She died surrounded by the love from her friends and family by her side.

The viewing will take place on June 12th 2024 at New Haven Funeral home. Located at 7025 Legion Rd, Mississauga, ON. The funeral service will be held on June 13th 2024 at Redemption Church International at 11 am. Located at 306 Rexdale Blvd, Unit #12.

Beverley was born on June 24th 1951 in the beautiful land of Kingston, Jamaica. She is the only daughter to her mother; Hortense Samuels. Although she was an only child, she grew up with her two first cousins; Marie and Lorna.

Beverley came to Canada in 1974 for the opportunity at a better life for her son; Everton Dacres and daughter; Francine Dacres. Beverley dedicated herself to working in the hospitality industry where she made her career working at the Marriott Hotel for nearly 30 years.

Beverley’s hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening, cleaning and being a fan of many sports; she was a devoted Raptors fan. Beverley loved watching basketball games, play offs and keeping up with the latest draft picks. Her favourite basketball players were Vince Carter and Kyle Lowry.  Beverley’s cooking, contagious laugh and smiles, jokes, and her embracing warmth will surely be missed.

Beverley leaves behind her son; Everton, daughter: Francine, grandchildren; Tonio, Krystal, Tyrese and Tajaun and 2 beautiful great granddaughters; Halo and Amira. She will be dearly missed and we will forever cherish the memories we’ve created together forever.

We Love You Grandma.
