Beverly Lystra Challenger (nee Small)

Born- May 29th, 1951 in Tunapuna, Trinidad & Tobago, W.I.

Homecoming- December 9th, 2023 in Mississauga, Ontario

Beverly Lystra Challenger went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9th, 2023. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

She is the beloved wife to Leon, her devoted husband of 47 years. She is the loving mother to Sharon, Sheena, Shane, and Shelby. She also leaves behind her step-son Trevor and grandsons Kievonn and Anias.

She will be missed by her sisters Denise and Esther, and brothers Roosevelt and Allen. She is aunt to Sherry-Ann, Shurland, Shawn, Sheldon, and Sherwin.

Beverly was a selfless and extremely hard worker. She was a dedicated member of Praise Cathedral Worship Centre  (formerly Erin Mills Holiness Church of God) for many years. She served faithfully with the Women’s and Senior’s Ministries.

She was a woman of faith who loved Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour and sought, not only to live for Him, but to point others to this precious hope she had. Her Faith and Hope were in the living God. 

She worked at Whirlpool Canada (formerly Inglis) as a Claims Analyst for over 35 years. 

It should bring a smile when we remember her punctuality, and fondness for tennis and mangoes!

A big thank you is extended to the staff at Credit Valley Hospital.
