G will remain one the sweetest persons I have been blessed to experience in my life. She is the most impactful "Quiet" that I have known. GLORIA's GLOW is my best attempt at a remembrance poem, and is a mere glimpse of this Remarkable Woman. I pray that God will continue to bless and comfort her family as they adjust to life without her. GLORIA'S GLOW Gloria Agatha Moore was a child of God. If I had to map the way she lived to a bible reference, it would be Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” She was Stony Hill, She was Portland, She was Kingston and St. Andrew. She was stewed pork, She was braised liver, She was the best chicken recipe anyone could deliver. She was a comic - only to those closest to her, She was a nickname generator. She was Pearla’s daughter. She was G. She was royalty. I do not know that G was ever mad or angry, And she was not a woman of complexity. She found joy in the ordinary, And treated everyone like family. She was not a woman of many words. She was calm and oh, so peaceful. Anger was not in her DNA, Neither was she boastful. She knew how to be satisfied And was content with her blessings. She practiced grace and gratefulness. Of others, she expected nothing. Her life was such a warm glow, Candescent - but not intrusive. She was kind and gave so much of herself- May we draw strength from how she lived. The last 7 years of G’s life confirmed a truth we always knew - Doctors do not know the plans God has for you, Or me, Or G. Because God’s ways are higher than our ways. Our health and circumstance do not determine our years. God who gives us life and breath, and everything, He alone knows the day of our passing. So while some may have thought that G had some close calls, And she was living on borrowed time, It was always up to Him who has time in his hands - Not the workings of the human mind. And so, God called her home. In his timing. And she is no longer here. All we have are memories of her ever-present cheer. G’s life no longer glows. Thankfully, she left some sparks behind - Her kindness and her radiant smile still warm our hearts and minds May her soul rest in peace.

To the only real “G” I know. Thank you for some of the fondest memories of my childhood. I looked forward to all the holiday visits and treasured our time spent together as these are some of my favorite parts of my childhood. Though the time spent together was limited, you left such an enduring, positive impact on my life through the love and kindness you’ve always shown me and that’s exactly how I will remember you. My heartfelt condolences to Sam, Winsome and the entire family. I came as her caregiver but was received with so much love that I felt like a member of the family. Mama will be remembered for all the fun moments we had, the laughter she would have whenever I wore something funny and many more. You have taught us so much in the period that we were together and your memories will forever be in our hearts. Mom A mother is one of the first gifts God give to us and I am humbled beyond measure that he gave me the best gift and mom. I am so grateful to God for entrusting me to the love of the world’s most wonderful mom. Through your unconditional love for me, Sam and others I come to know and experience God’s love. I feel truly blessed and grateful for you, and I love you with all my heart. So many things you’ve done for me, so many sacrifices to ensure I receive a solid education, so many ways my life is better because of having you in it. Your kind eyes that see the best in me and sharing in both my laughter and tears. Making fun of my lack of navigation skills or my constant nagging if I am ‘your favourite’. I know for sure my life will not be the same without you here physically but I take solace in the fact that I was given 7 extra years with you by man’s standards. Your love and service to others is so pure and Christ-like. If I can emulate a fraction of how you lived your life, I will then leave this planet a bit better than when I inhabited it. Mom, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter 3:4 and that’s you! Your forever love and only daughter Winsome

My darling G. You were my bright spark in all my dark days. Words can't explain what you meant to me. You gave me so much hope when everything was dark. G, if love was a person that would have been you. I could not thank you enough for all you have done for me. I met Miss Gloria for the first time a few years ago when me and a few girlfriends invaded her home. I loved her instantly! She didn’t say much, just enjoyed the commotion :-). You felt her love through her smiles and saw it in her eyes. Will miss you dearly Miss Gloria. RIP. XOXOXO.
