I still cannot believe that you are gone. It’s so surreal and inconceivable to many of us whose lives you enriched in some way or another. Yes, the bright light you shined will be missed. The rays of your light beamed qualities of caring, dependability, reliability, trustworthiness, a professional and hard worker. I will never forget our lunchroom times at 393 University, where we shared such joy and laughter with colleagues, I just recently told you and others how I missed those days: now they will be treasured in my heart. Words cannot express the depth of losing you. I will miss your wonderful personality always. May you rest in eternal peace my friend.
My sincere condolences to the Lawrence family, friends and her Church family.

Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to Novelette and the entire loving, caring, wonderful family of beloved Tamra (Nathene). We pray God’s unending comfort, strength and peace. May he surround you all with his wings of love. May his Angels stand guard. May your happy memories of Tamra bring you solace. Praise be to God where she is with him in Paradise, and we know we will see her again. Lots of love.

My deepest condolences to the Lawrence family. It was indeed a great shock when I heard of Tamra's passing. It was just unbelievable as I had seen her just shortly before April 2023 when I went back to visit the Rexdale Church of Christ. I met Tamra just last year - not even quite a year since I knew her. In this short space of time, however, I admired her willingness and dedication to get things done and how easy it was to make friends with her. I saw how caring and loving she was to her mother, Sister Novlette. Her wit and her probing questions in Bible classes were always welcome. They elicited a number of lively discussions. We were always happy for her participation. Tamra had such a truly wonderful spirit of love that she shared generously with us all at Rexdale Church of Christ. We will miss her greatly. May her soul rest in peace with God, her Saviour.

My condolences to the Lawrence family. I met Nathene back in 2016, where she trained me and two others. No one wanted to volunteer to train us, but she did. She was so patient with us, and she trained us very well. She introduced me to her beautiful group of ladies, and I became part of their group. Nathene was always there when I needed to talk ,or help on my work. She always picked up the phone when I called. I'm going to really miss her smile, and her voice, but until we meet again Na Na. I will always have beautiful memories ❤️

Tamra meant the world to me. Growing up in the church, I admired her and looked up to her. Seeking her often for advice or direction in my life. No matter how far I strayed, Tamra was always offering me a spot on her family vacations and a listening ear when I needed her. I could just say, “T I need to talk to you” and within seconds the phone would ring or a text would come in. Losing T is such a loss. I feel it so deeply and our lives have shifted since she left this earth. Everything is a little dimmer. Tamra would want us to have fun because that’s how she lived her life. She worked hard but she found all the joys in life. I’m going to miss her laugh, her love of games, her trying to hit the highest note in karaoke or during road trips. I’m going to miss her arguing her points in church and being the Ms. Fix It. We all leaned on Tamra in someway. She was a rock. Steadfast. Strong. Sturdy. I am so blessed to have known T and I just wanted to share what she meant and still means to me. Her advice will stay with me forever and I will try to honour her by living fully and passionately. I am so so sorry to the Lawrence family. She loved all of you so much. She was a mama bear, taking care of everyone. This is devastating but we all will leave this earth. Tamra just went before us. May we learn to live as kindly and as loving as T did.

It is with sadness of heart I write this, more so because it seems so soon for such a wonderful person to leave the earth. My heartfelt sympathy to her parents, siblings and other family members. While it is a sad time, I pray that we will not sorrow as those who have no hope beyond this life but rejoice that she will receive her crown of life.( James 1:12).
One thing I remember about Tamra is her being at so many of the church fellowships we had. Another memory is how she showed interest in the scripture by asking questions during the studies that I've attended at Rexdale Church of Christ.
I pray for comfort for everyone.

Respectful, compassionate, caring, funny, selfless person who always put others first. The list of all the attributes of our beloved friend and colleague, Nathene is endless.
I'm thankful to have had the opportunity to know and work closely with Nathene for many years. If you're looking for someone who was dedicated, honest, hard working, reliable and helpful, you found it in Nathene.
Nathene was a mentor to many, a friend to all, and a source of inspiration to everyone who knew her. She had a kind heart and the ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She was an amazing person with an infectious smile, truly a remarkable person who touched the lives of many people in many ways.
Nathene will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Rest in eternal peace my friend.

Dear Melissa and Lawrence family…
“And when great souls die after a period, peace blooms slowly and irregularly. Spaces fill with a kind of soothing vibration. Our senses, restored, never to be the same whisper to us. They existed. We can be. Be and be better. For they existed.” ~Maya Angelou

I have known Nathene for over 20 years. We both started working in the government together in 2002. We were always by each others side. She would always share about her love for Jamaica and her family. She was a faithful and loyal friend. Nathene had a big heart, was always looking out for the best in others and never expected anything in return. For me, this is not good bye but see you soon. Our hope is in Christ Jesus and the beauty about death for us believers is that we will see each other in heaven, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. I love you Nathene. May you continue your work in heaven now, you are dearly missed.
Love Janice Jackson

Tamra was an angel who walked the earth. Her smile, infectious laugh and dance moves would like up every room she entered. Life will not be the same without her, cuz I still can't fathom why but I know you're in a better place. We've gained another angel to watch over us. Love you then, now and forever!!!
