Veronica, may you sleep in peace my friend. I will surely miss our parking lot conversations about nothings and everything’s. No matter what you alway greeted me smiling and asking what’s up. You were a true friend to all of us, but I understand you had to go and spread your wings in heaven. Now the pain is gone, and I know the smile is even bigger than we can imagine.

It definitely hit me like a ton of bricks, and I'm still processing. So much to say, but I'm definitely thankfully for the time we worked together and getting to know you over the years Veronica. Whether talking about the Raptors, debating social justice issues in the community, bothering me about getting you a new job, or never letting me graduate from being "junior" after all these years. I'm definitely going to miss your shining light and positive presence, and just our conversations about anything and everything. Deepest condolences to Veronica's family. Miss you Veronica, and until we meet again.

Dear Cassandra & Aaron,
No words can really help ease the loss of your beloved mother. Our deepest sympathies go out to you both! May God provide you with comfort and peace in this difficult time!
Our niece Joanne (Veronica) was a remarkable woman! We remember her as soft-spoken, kind-hearted with a beautiful smile, but also very driven, focused and accomplished! Once she left Sudbury and moved to Toronto, we had very little contact and only saw you occasionally on one of your visits to Sudbury. But that’s life. And so we say goodbye to a beautiful soul. She left footprints on many people’s hearts who crossed her path! Her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Joanne! Your life was a beautiful story!

Joanne, was the name our family called her and the loss of such a young, vibrant person is very painful. She was my cousin and my friend, but for Kassandra and Aaron, Losing a mother is a profound loss that can bring immeasurable grief.

I already really miss you, Veronica.
I missed your smile and our breakfast time share of a half banana when we do day shift. I missed your regular morning routine, holding your cup full of oatmeal and walking around. Missing going round with you,
I was impressed by your thorough understanding of all the norms and rules when you gave me orientation on the first day I attended SORU. You consistently shared your expertise and concerns about the clients.
You left me with cherished memories that will never fade.
Veronica , oh my! I am still not convinced you left. My mind still struggles to accept it. When I spoke to you three weeks ago, I promised you that I would pray for you and will visit you, you responded in a soft voice “ Thank you. Please pray for me” I was praying for you from the time I hear you were sick. It is too soon; it is difficult to lose a friend, a sister, a mother and a coworker like you.

I pray that God to comfort her families and all of us.
