I remember coming to Canada in 2000, and as an 8 year kid she was so welcoming when I met her at St. Anthony. She always had a smile on her face and would always warm up the room.
Thank you for everything and I truly feel blessed to be a part of your life.

I met Camilla & her husband - what seems like a million years ago when I was a regular parishioner in St Anthony of Padua - with the division of the Parish I was transferred to SMDY Camilla was a larger than life individual - if did not matter what you needed help with she was always there - Soccer was her passion and I am sure there are tons of young players who have benefited for her support - RIP Camilla you are now united with your beloved husband - God Bless Kay Newbold

Mommy Camilla, I met her through soccer when I moved back to Brampton over 30 years ago. She was my inspiration, friend, mother and confidant. I will miss our talks, laughs and most of all I will miss you! RIEP my soccer mother, I love you. To my soccer brothers Gary and Dexter, you will always be in my thoughts.
Condolences to the rest of the family.

Condolences Camilla McDonald
Camilla was a beautiful person. One of the nicest individuals you will ever meet. I had the pleasure to be able to call her my friend. She loved her family, but Camilla created special space for her extended family; and that was all of us. She created time and space for everyone. No one who needed help or support was missed. She was that kind of person.
She was a skilled manager and administrator and sat on the Boards of Chinguacousy Soccer Club and Peel Halton Soccer District. She utilized her skills with great aplomb with her main objective for every child to play.
She was not one to seek the “lime light”. No. Camilla was results oriented and her mission was for “every child to play”. And they did. Many due to Camilla’s countless hours organizing others and volunteering to manage and run bingos. She was always organized and everyone knew their roles and enjoyed making those contributions, because Camilla’s made all our tasks easier, with her brilliant organizing and comforting manner.
It is these very same funds that have enabled hundreds of families to enable their child to play the game they have come to love. Thank you Camilla.
This lady had a heart of gold. There was nothing she would not do to support a child playing. Her volunteering hours were endless, and she was still very devoted and consumed with the love and support for her family.
We will all miss Camilla very much. I know the family is heart broken, but they should be comforted a little, that she can once again embrace Roy.
God bless and rest in peace Camilla
My very best and fondest regards
Des Gardner

I knew Mrs. McDonald for over forty years. From the time I was ten years old, when I met her son, Garry, at Boy Scouts, her home was my home. If my parents went on vacation, I would stay with the McDonalds. I was treated as one of their own. If I ever had a second mother, it was Mrs. McDonald. She raised, educated, guided, and inspired me as much as my own parents. She was an integral part of my life. Calm, patient, compassionate, and caring, she had outstanding parenting skills. Although she could be firm, she was always gentle. There was a wisdom about her that was remarkable. She would not prevent you or prohibit you from doing something bad. She would express her displeasure in a subtle way and give you freedom to make an informed and conscious choice. You would then feel so guilty about it that you would not do it. Such was the respect that she commanded that you did not want to disappoint her. A strong, kind, loving, and wise woman, she was one of my role models. In fact, after I got married, at the age of thirty-one, the first person I introduced to my wife, after my own parents, was Mrs. McDonald. Not only was she a fine wife, and a loving mother, she was deeply committed to the community. Many parents get involved in sports while their children and teenagers are involved in sports. Her engagement, however, never ended. She continued to support the soccer program in Brampton for decades, long after her children had grown up and no longer playing. Mrs. McDonald was a beacon of light who touched many souls. My God Almighty grant her a special place in Paradise. She most certainly deserves it. I send my heartfelt condolences to the entire family and particularly to my dear friend, Garry, and his brother Dexter.

Like many in Brampton, I met Camilla through soccer. She volunteered for many years in Brampton, Peel Region and more. She was a great asset to our city and a wonderful person to have known. Our condolences to her family. She will be missed.
