Not many can relate to the loss of a loved one, especially when it is a stalwart such as Philip Harvey. For the time I got to know him, hearing his many stories of life situations while watering our front lawns, I would like say that he was a friend. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Harvey family; may God give you strength to carry you through these difficult times. You are going to hear well-meaning words like “he is in a better place”, “at least he is no longer suffering” but all you are wishing, is to hear one of those stories again. Cherish the memories, and know that we are praying for you. May this King Rest In Power!

Coombs Family
My Mom, sisters and I have such fond memories of Uncle Philip. As a family, we spent many summers visiting with Uncle Philip, Aunt Myrtle and Cousins Ian and Marcia. Uncle Philip always made sure that he was available to take us site seeing around Toronto.
I still remember him telling us we must go to the CN Tower. I will never forget as a little girls going up in the glass elevator and looking down, this was such a thrill for us. Niagara Fall was another spot he insisted we visited.
Uncle Philip had a love for his Jamaican roots and music. So of course, he took us to the local reggae record shops. We still have those records!
The best part of the trip was spending time at home with Uncle Philip and family. Uncle Philip would cook fish soup. I remember thinking to myself, fish soup, I am not having that but Uncle Philip would insist you try it.
We consider ourselves so blessed to have had Uncle Philip as part of our family. We will always cherish the memories. We extend our love and prayers to Aunt Myrtle, Ian and Marcia.
Uncle Philip may you rest in peace. You were an amazing soul!

To one of the most electrical energies, I ever meet. That energy will always be present now and I always thank you for gracing me with your knowledge and presence.
