SIP Cousin Norma! You were such a huge part of my life. As I reflect on you during this period of loss, I remember your kindness, positive energy, loving manner and culinary skills. You braided my hair, provided guidance, allowed me to taste test your cakes and puddings and to accompany you on shopping trips to Kingston. I loved being in your company and will always cherish the time we spent together. So Long, until we meet again.

I remembered my auntie Norma with laughter!! I remembered it was at my moms house, we were all on the verandah... auntie Norma asked me to get her a glass of water "she said please pretty please with sugar on top." I went and got a glass of water for her and sprinkled some sugar on top. When I brought the water back to her she asked what's falling to the bottom of the glass " I said sugar!"

My sister Norma and I grew up in Bybrook, Portland. She had a sweet and quiet spirit, she was a giving sister, a good listener; who I loved dearly. We lived together and raised our children together in Bull Bay. At one point we all lived together in the same house. When she traveled she arranged for me to take care of her children, which I did willingly. We shared beautiful memories and our personal life challenges with each other throughout our lives. One special recent memories was when she celebrated my 80th birthday with me in St. Ann, Jamaica; along with our families. Norma, you are now at rest, and I know your presence will always remain with us all. “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty..” Psalm 91 My condolences to her children Junie, Charmaine, Heather, and Dwight; her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Auntie Norma’s presence was always a joyful one. She was always smiling and had beautiful things to say that were encouraging. Here she is enjoying herself as she celebrated with her sister on her 80th birthday.

Auntie Norma was a great support to my family when we migrated to Canada in 2018, she made sure we had all the necessities to face our first winter. A very encouraging and kind aunt. Two Fridays before she passed she gave my husband (Matthew) a cup of hot chocolate and said “ here is your tea”, this was something she would always do when we visited her. The love shown to us by Auntie Norma will never be forgotten. Deepest sympathies and condolences to all.
