To the entire Thornhill family and extended family . MY deepest condolences. I have known Peter from Montreal. He was such a carfree and social person. I remember him sending his dog Hanibal chasing after me and at the other end he is standing laughing his head off. Being at his wedding, and many other memories too numerous to mention.. Peter, May you Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory .

Tolina, Shanna, Devlin -
It's been an honor to call Peter my friend. Our conversations - ranging from saving the world from itself to children and everything in between, would at some point lead to Peter unleashing his hysterical fifth octave laugh; causing a chain reaction. At the end of the day, Peter left an indelible mark. On the occasions that Peter's name comes up in conversation, his reputation will continue to be set in stone with the simple but powerful phrase, 'He was a good man'. Rest easy, Peter.

Sincere condolences to Peter's family and friends on his recent passing. Worked with Peter when he first hired on with CN back in the early '70s. Loveable, trustworthy and one heck of a prankster. Fond memories of those late night card games with co-workers...I was usually leaving a donation. Used his and Diane's business in upgrading our apartment(s) window dressings back in the '80s both in Montreal and Toronto. Memories of his love for the 4 young children that they raised. Have missed the camaraderie. R.I.P. Peter.

I worked with Peter over 40+ years ago at CN. We talked and laughed a lot. He told me he was taking a wallpapering course and would leave CN to start a business. He was a wonderful guy. I am glad he followed his dream and made it come true. I know God will have a special place for him. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

I will always remember the time I had with Peter talking with him and playing with Hannibal his beautiful giant Doberman. He was always kind to me and I will always remember that.
