This is terrible news and will take a while to process.
Carl was one of the most inspirational people that I have ever met in my life and taught me how to live on 4 hrs of sleep!
He took me under his wing in the year 2000 and showed me how to 'run tings' in the workplace, how to play golf, how long to hang out in the pub and how to 'Jump up! Jump up!' at Caribana.
A devoted husband, a great friend, a top dad/grandad and my Uncle Carl.
Love David Morris

Donnette, Daniel and I extend our sincere condolences on the passing off such a positive and bright sole. We met Carl through Rodger as Carl was one of Rodger's closest and first first he met when him and his brother immigrated to Canada. I remember how excited Rodger was to introduce us to Carl as they shared so many fond memories though out the years. As the kids got older, Carl offered a job to Daniel when he was looking for one an interested in the trades.
Carl was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather to us who met in along the way he will always be a very dear friend.
He is in Gods hands now and for this we are blessed.
Warmest regards,
Dionne Foderingham

As we all try to come to terms with the passing of our beloved friend and a founder of Cable Ready Systems, Carl Young.
I need to reassure everyone that Cable Ready Systems will carry on. Remaining dedicated to following the core values, he practiced every day.
Carl has been instrumental in building a self-sufficient team. The result of which, is a thriving enterprise within the industry.
With an energetic strong work ethic, honest approach and a credit card Cable Ready Systems began.
Starting as a technician in 1986, with hopes, dreams and the solid support of mentors, family and friends, Carl was able to build a team of the finest people.
With the help of the team, Cable Ready Systems has a super customer base ranging from small operations to giant Corporations. This came about by the team delivering great service, competitive pricing and honesty. This dedication to core values, lead to the word of mouth praise from customer to customer.
Carl being a modest person never boasted about his success, as he knew, the success was as a result of a lot of help from mentors, the best team, outstanding customers and great suppliers.

I send my heart felt condolences to Karen and family. Carl was a Boston Marathon running brother. He was a gifted marathoner, completing many Boston Marathons. We officially met at Boston 2019. (attached picture). At Boston 2022 in April we shared time, laughs, stories, meals, and a cab ride on race morning. Rubbed shoulders with him to the Boston Police Bus where we shared pre race jitters on route to another successful Boston Marathon. I will miss his smile, laughter and kind demeanor. My Condolences to Karen,Carla, Raydeen, Kyle and Grandson Makai and family.
Carl and I met 36 years ago, he was my best friend, my golf buddy and most of all like a brother.
Cable Ready Systems, golfing and running was his passions and he enjoyed them greatly. Carl and myself enjoyed playing golf famously at Piper’s Heath in the men’s league for the past 8 years.
I will for ever remember us walking the courses or having a beer on the patio afterwards talking about sports, politics, current events and anything under the sun. I will forever miss you brother.
I never thought of you as a lover but with your passing, you have definitely broken lots of hearts. Lol
I will miss you immensely, Rest In Peace my friend.

Carl and I were introduced by our dear friend Holly, we hit it off instantly. We had so much in common, both business owners that had a passion for sports, particularly our Raptors. Carl offered me the opportunity to share in his Raptor seasons tickets and we often attended games together, we shared the last Raptor game this past year, an unfortunate loss to end their playoffs. I'm so happy that Carl was able to witness the 2019 championship win, he and I were loyal fans from day one, way back in 1995.
When I received the devastating news this past Monday morning I began to reflect about my relationship with my treasured friend, I smiled a lot, I cried a lot, all in a very positive way. Carl had many phrases which I refer to as "Carlism's"
His daily call to me through Covid asking "what Covid day is it today Trev?"
"When are we doing our Covid parking lot lunch?"
And his friendly jab directed at me about the other sports franchise I still have a passion for "I gave the Leafs the best 50 years of my life Trev, they gave me nothing, I'm done".
My recent memories of Carl are of a courageous man, who chose to battle his health issues privately and to continue to go about his business as per usual. Those of us close to Carl knew there was much more happening to our friend but we respected his wishes and tried to enjoy our time with Carl as we always did. I cherish the memories Carl gave me and I will think about him often, I will talk about him often and I will continue to share the endless memories I have of him often.
Carl was loved by so many people and I'm very fortunate to have been one of them. I love you Carl,
till we meet again. ♥️

Carl was a natural mentor and everything about him should be celebrated. I met him many years ago at the Running Room where he developed a life long passion for long distance running and became part of the revered Nomads running group.
I remember Carl's smile, kindness and sense of humour. He took time to say hello or wave whenever we passed each other on the road or trail. He touched all those he met and was genuinely interested in each person. I will miss you Carl and feel blessed to have met you!
May you rest in peace my friend!

Having known Carl from his teenage years it has been a true delight watching as he developed, being a caring son, outstanding husband, father, brother, truly honest business dynamo, mentor and friend to all.
Carl approached each day with a great big smile, vigor and kindness. He thrived on inter acting with people and took a genuine interest in everyone he met.
He was a gentleman, and I feel blessed to have been a part of his life.
As we all come to terms with his passing, I can hear him saying with a twinkle in his eye and a laugh “we should all carry on”.
A fine tribute, would be to remember his great big smile and approach every day as Carl did, with a smile, kindness and live every day to its fullest.

I was saddened to hear about Carl's passing. He was more than just a vendor, he was a friend. I first met Carl at the Valhalla Inn, when he came down to see my boss. I got to know a humorous individual, who took the time to work with, teach and get to know a rookie, I'll always appreciate the time he took in patiently explaining what the challenges experienced in cabling older buildings. More than that, I got to know him on a personal level, about his love of marathons. It was always a fun way to wind down a site visit, after spending time trying to figure out the best path to lay new cables. We would chit chat for a few minutes and I would ask him about his last marathon, and seeing if I had visited the city.
After my boss passed away, Carl would call often just to check in, make sure I was okay. We didn't talk about work, but we shared memories and laughs which helped get me through losing my mentor.
Seeing him just not that long ago. He looked the same as he always did, happy go lucky with the energy and zest of a 5 year old. Its hard to believe that I won't see that again.
My deepest condolences to Karen and family, my prayers and thoughts are with you.

To My Mentor and My Friend:
I remember the day I walked into Carl’s Office, it was the middle of winter, December 1998. My first impression was, he has a kind face, so immediately I felt at ease. We talked for a little while, he ask me my hobbies, my talents and what I could bring to his company and I was happy to share. He then ask me why I would want to work for him, I told him I wanted to work for honest person, he smiled and told me he appreciated my honesty. We shook hands and he told me that he would call me in the new year and to enjoy my Christmas. Well needless to say over the holidays I was hoping the phone was going to ring, but it didn’t, disappointed, I started going through the newspaper for another job, two days after New Year’s Day, January 3rd, 1999, my phone rang, it was Carl, I was so happy, he was offering me the position of Office Manager and wanted to know when I could start. Well I started on January 7, 1999, so here I am twenty-three years, eight Months and 4 days later, still happy and very grateful to have worked for such an honest, kind and wonderful person. The lessons he taught me, the knowledge I gained, the laughter we shared, I will be eternally grateful. Carl always said that Cable Ready Systems Ltd. was his second family and I was so happy to be a part of it. Thank you Carl for your honesty, support and kindness throughout the years. I will miss you.
