Mallie,
40+ years and I can vividly recall and hear hundreds of conversations we've shared. I always loved to stop and have a "check-in" every time I came over, no matter how long. I've always loved how much you knew about so many things, how fascinated and interested you were in them, how much you liked to share them, and how kind you were to always ask about me, my family, Steve, or the kids. How you were always making jokes and you'd fool me every time. You got me good with the "Versace" line!
You'd always ask me: "How are you doing, kiddo?", or "Do you know what this is?", or "Do you know what this means?", or "Did I tell you about...?", or "Did I tell you about Sabrina?...or Daniel?", or "Did you know that Danella...?", or "Did know how to say this in Finnish...?"
And you could talk endlessly about your birds. And Puzzles. And Finland. And Dave, Doreen, and Danella. And of course, Sabrina and Daniel.
I love how you were always "around", but would disappear and do yournown thing...and then reappear and ask "Soooo, whatcha kids doing?". And then suddenly, it was time for bed and you'd be gone. Until the next time.
I can't tell you how much I'll miss you, your presence, your love of your favourite things and your family, your chattiness and excitement when we talked. I'll carry your voice, a million memories of you in my mind and heart always. It was such a pleasure and honour to call you my friend and extended family. May you be resting in loving peace with your parents and Anita, your loved ones, your beloved birds and pets, and remember to watch out over us to make sure we're doing okay. Love you, Mals.
