Obituary of Elmenia Ursula Coley
On Wednesday, March 30, 2022 Elmenia Ursula Coley (née Solomon) slipped away peacefully, in Jamaica, her birthplace. She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Berris, and their children, Richard (Marcia), Angela (Greg), and Audrey (Vincent). She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Her memory will be cherished by surviving siblings Emeline, Josephine, Jeremiah, Malvera, Jeana, Simon, Jennifer, Anton, Angilee and Nattalee. Elmenia will be laid to rest beside her late son Ian.
Elmenia was a savvy entrepreneur who worked tirelessly beside with her husband to build an exceptional life. No task was too great or too small – she approached everything with all the qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman. Despite her hard work, she was the heart of her home.
Elmenia was quiet, but the strength of her presence was always warmly felt. This was particularly true in her church life. At Temple of Praise, Church of God in Ontario, Elmenia found joy and companionship. Her church family will continue to recall fond memories. A prayer warrior, she believed that all good things are possible, through the grace of God. As we remember her, we will remember that. May she rest in sweet eternal peace.
