I had the opportunity to know Mr. Oni for a brief period of about 3 months via Holy Family Anglican church. During this short period, Mr. Oni made a great fatherly impression on me as a person and was hoping for more until his sudden passing on January. He will be missed greatly. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to Bose Oni and the rest of the family.

I count myself privileged to have come across in my journey of life a man like Uncle Idowu. From the day I met him in November 1988 up to the day he returned to his Creator, he remained a compassionate, disciplined, kind and just man with uncommon wisdom.
He will forever be missed.
Adieu Uncle, may God Almighty have mercy on your soul and may He raise your status in Paradise.

We,the classmates of Olusola Idowu George Oni fondly called him GeorgeOni as if the two names were joined together to form a compound name.
Providence brought us together in January 1967 when we came into Annunciation School Ikere Ekiti as freshers. Our long lasting relationship spanning 55 years started that January and also ended in January when he joined the Saints.
Sola was not only a brilliant classmate whose education was funded by the State on account of his brilliance, but was also highly sociable and a good dancer for that matter.Sola had no secrets, he was open minded and ever willing to lend helping hands to friends and colleagues. No one would say he found him loosing his cool however provocative any situation could be.He was always calm with his infectious smile. Sola would say "ki la npa'rawa fun".
I am celebrating Sola instead of mourning him. He have fought a good fight and left behind a happy, united and caring family. They will surely miss him but his memories would always be indelible in their hearts.
Sleep well my dear friend.Adieu

A friend, brother, trusted colleague, amiable and focused gentleman. Bridge builder, disciplined and well cultured. Lover of everyone and ever smiling.
My wife and I will missed you but our consolation is
that what is loss to us is gain to Jesus Christ our Lord. God will grant your families the strength to bear it.
Sleep on in the bosom of your Lord.

I never met you personally sir but I heard so many great stories about you from your daughter Bolu, your going to sleep is still a big shock but I take peace and solace in the fact that you are resting in the bosom of the lord and you have left a legacy behind that many will emulate. You raised a wonderful daughter and that says a lot about you and what you stood for.
Eternal rest sir and may Gods merciful light shine upon you

Still like a dream that grandpa (as fondly called) has gone to rest. Grandpa is a lover of children to call not only his biological children but all children come across him.
How he always cheer me up during the journey remains for ever. The goodies that he always brought to church for me and girls with mama oni will never be forgot. (No wonder his children are cheerful giver.)
Adieu grandpa.

As much as it is hard to believe, one can not but reflect on wonderful memories of time shared together. He will always call me oga agba or Rotimi(his sound when he calls that name is peculiar)
One time he said you can not tell me you have not been drinking beer and we laughed. It was like aburo just be yourself with me. Not many uncles are like that. He loves football like mad.His dress sense is next to none. Super dresser. Lots of fun memories
