Uncle Leonard,
We cannot believe that you are gone, but your memories will live on.
A great soul serves everyone at all times. A great soul never dies.
Words will not wipe away the tears from our eyes. And hugs may not ease the pain.
We hold onto your memories forever they will remain.
I remember you driving us to the Airport every Sunday to watch the planes take off. We thought the plane was going to hit us, so we got scared and ran and then we all laughed so hard. You then took us all out for ice cream and we had so much fun together.
Your beef and chicken foot soup was the best! So much more to say, but paper cannot hold. Your memories will live on forever.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
Loves leaves a memory no one can steal.
You are gone but not forgotten. R.I.P

From Khadrea,
Extending condolences to the Grayson family. Nothing prepares us for the loss of a loved one, especially one who positively impacted the lives of those with whom he interacted. But remember the word tells us to not weep as those who have no hope. It’s not goodbye but till we meet again. Cheer up Yvonne. Sleep in perpetual peace Leonard.

From Nathan & Audeen Thompson (Jamaican Neighbour)
Leonard and Yvonne have been our Neighbour in Jamaica since 2015 when we met them. Leonard and his wife Yvonne have shown us extra ordinary kindness and genuine neighbourly love!
We always admired Leonard’s humility and jovial personality. Leonard always speaks of and is always proud of showing generosity to his extended family and neighbours in Clarendon. He was very proud of showing his love and care by showering his Clarendon community children with gifts and entertainment during his annual visit to the island.
Leonard believed and practiced what the Bible says at Proverbs Chapter3 vs 28:” Do not withhold good from those to whom you should give it”
But in death there is hope as the Bible states in Acts Chapter 24 and verse 15 “
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust”
Our hope is that God remember Leonard as he promised, and that we can live our lives to please God so that we can see him in the future.
Yvonne, your strength will in keeping calm and showing trust in God at all times!

The family that prays together stays together. My sincere condolence to my beloved cousin and friend on the passing of her soulmate and husband. Rest assured you are in our prayers.
The chorus of the I Three “Oh, what a man …he is a legend” resonates as I reflect on the life of Leonard.
His passing reminds me of our fragile humanity. I pause to remember that this great soul existed.
Leonard radiated an inner light –that lit up all those he came across.
He made those he came across feel valued and good. He was never preoccupied with how much he was doing but more so how what he was doing was impacting others.
His light and infectious laughter brightened the day of all those he interfaced with. After a belly full of laughter he usually ends with his favourite phrase "Holy Cow". Leonard was indeed special. He had a generosity of spirit and a depth of character that was remarkable.
This was evidenced in my family being the benefactor of our special package of basmati rice from his Christmas barrels that he would ship to Jamaica year after year.
He was an exemplary gentle man whose way of life is his greatest legacy -
A wonderful father and husband
A real Jamaican
A man who is always giving
A Gentleman
A Lover of people
An excellent cook
I remember a great soul as our family, our world was better because he existed.
May flight of angels bid him rest.

Gone but never forgotten. My deepest condolences to Yvonne and family. Leonard’s passing came as a shock to me and really saddens me. Leonard was so kind at heart, always smiling, laughing and so full of life. For years, I felt a part of this family, having visited Canada years ago, the hospitality shown to me was matchless. ‘Len’ affectionately called by his wife, cooked a pot of soup that was so delicious. Every Christmas I could always look forward to food supplies from barrel that the couple would send to Jamaica. These memories of such a sweet soul are etched in my mind and I will continue to remember Leonard that way. Yvonne, I pray your strength. God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. Accept virtual hugs. Much love.

Condolences to you and the rest of your family on the loss of Papa Leonard . You were an amazing mentor during my Purolator carrier . You always love and treat me like own child so many good memories and stories we share each other's “I can’t believe you are gone, Leonard . I’m still in shock that this happened. I’m sure his passing was peaceful as he was surrounded by those he loved.” “Life has to end. Love doesn’t.”

Leonard was my work dad. I was lucky to have him mentor me. It was even a bigger blessing to know that he and my dad knew each other from the late 70's/early 80's. He was a disciplined mentor who molded me into who I am today.
