As an international student who had just arrived in Canada to do my graduate studies, Sister Aggie opened her home and family to me. Pretty soon, I became a member of the family as she would introduce me to her friends and family as her daughter. When my mom came to visit us, you were there always, making sure my mom was enjoying her stay. You were there when we celebrated my mom’s birthday and you cut her cake with her (I have attached the picture). Whenever my mom called, she would say “how is your Canadian mom doing” - referring to Sister Aggie. Indeed, Sister Aggie was a mother to me right up until her last days. Her passing came as a shock to me as we were all hopeful that she would recover. Sister Aggie, to us you have gone too soon ... but the Lord knows best. We miss you dearly... I can still hear your laughter and voice the last time we saw you. You were a kind-hearted, caring, loving and fun-loving person! You never missed an opportunity to dance! Sister
Aggie, may the good Lord receive you in Heaven. Rest In Peace, Sister Aggie. You will forever remain in our hearts.

I met Agnes at work and when I first approached her she already knew who I was. She knew me from way back but I did not remember. She called me Obuoba and it’s the name that we call ourselves because we’re from the same place (Kwahu). We’re from Kwahu, Asase Aben. She was a lovely and hardworking women. Her coming into my life was a true blessing and I’m glad I got the chance to know her. You will forever have a place in my heart❤️. Love you always Obaa Aggie❤️.
