Obituary of George Edwards

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved George Thomas Edwards, who departed this life peacefully on October 11th, 2025, at Humber River Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

George was born in 1937 in Beaulieu, St. George’s, on the beautiful island of Grenada. In 1957, he migrated to England in pursuit of new opportunities for himself and his young family. Nearly a decade later, in 1966, George’s career as a skilled carpenter led him to Canada, where he ultimately made Toronto his home.

In his later years, George transitioned to a new career path and became a proud and dedicated member of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), from which he eventually retired. He later remarried and shared 17 years of marriage with his devoted wife, Mrs. Teresa Edwards.

George lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and faith. He will be deeply missed by his Wife Veronica, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as his siblings, extended family, friends, church community, and former colleagues. His memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Rest in eternal peace, George. Your life and legacy will never be forgotten.
