Obituary of Clover Amaleta Rigg
Clover A. Rigg, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14th, 2025, at Brampton Civic Hospital in Brampton. Clover was born March 23, 1948 in Church Road, St. Catherine, Jamaica, W.I., to Junelyn Greenland and Gerald Rigg. She worked as a sales associate with West indies Furnishing Company in Kingston, Jamaica and later as an Assistant Bursar at the then Bog Walk Secondary School (now Bog Walk High School). Upon emigrating to Canada, she worked at many odd jobs and through grit and sheer determination landed a job as a Collector with Standard Auto Glass and later, Grand & Toy. Clover was a lifelong learner
There was nothing to Clover like her family. Her children Winston and Winsome, her Grandchildren, Dominic, Tiffane and Matthew and her great grandson, Carmelo.
Everyone who met her, loved her for her warm disposition and sense of humour. She loved to feed people, enjoyed baking and cake decorating and puttering around in the garden.
Clover is survived by her two children, Winsome and Winston, 3 grandchildren, 1 greatgrandchild, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family, friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to The New Haven Funeral Centre, 7025 Legion Rd, Mississauga, ON L4T 1A8, 4-8 p.m., to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, chat.
