Obituary of Pearletta James

Pearletta James (nee Reid), 74 passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025 at the Brampton Civic Hospital in Brampton, Ontario. She was born on December 13, 1950 in Rock River, Clarendon, Jamaica.

Pearletta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She spent 30 years as a personal support worker and cared very deeply for her patients. She enjoyed preparing holiday meals and cruising with her daughters. She was an active member of her church community and had a warm smile for everyone she came in contact with.

She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Reid; mother, Elizabeth Nelson; brothers, George, Robert, Alden, Eric, Vernal, Victor, Wilbert, Clifton; and her only sister Beryl.

She is survived by her husband Desmond; daughters, Cadette (Errol), Cheryl, Pamela (David), Jacqueline; her grandchildren, Michaela, Janae, and Donte. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Pearletta will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her church family.
