It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, partner, brother, uncle and father, Wayne Parkinson.

Wayne’s sudden departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who loved him. He leaves behind his devoted mother Norma, life partner Sharon, four precious children—Cosmo, Jalysza, Jadon, and Kyle— as well as five sisters and two brothers. He is predeceased by his father, Cosmo, who passed away in 2017.

Born in Jamaica, Wayne came to Canada at the tender age of six, growing up in the vibrant Jane-Finch community—a mosaic of immigrants, families, and cultures learning to thrive in a new land. In those formative years, Wayne’s natural curiosity and helpful spirit shone through. As he grew into adulthood, those same qualities blossomed into a deep reliability—he was someone you could call on, someone you could count on.

Wayne had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and a heart that always made space for others. He carried dreams not yet fulfilled, but his greatest legacy lives on in his children, whom he loved dearly and who will continue to carry his spirit forward.

Though we grieve his loss deeply, we are comforted by the thought of him resting peacefully and reunited with his father. May Wayne’s soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by love, light, and the memories he leaves behind.
