Obituary for Pastor Janet Escoffery
February 1, 1951 – April 7, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Pastor Janet Escoffery, who entered eternal rest on April 7, 2025. Pastor Janet was a beacon of faith, a compassionate leader, and a devoted servant of God.

Born on February 1, 1951, Pastor Janet dedicated her life to ministry, touching countless lives through her unwavering commitment to spiritual guidance, community service, and heartfelt counsel. She was known for her kindness, wisdom, and boundless love for those in need. Her sermons uplifted souls, her prayers comforted the weary, and her presence brought peace and joy to all who knew her.

Throughout her years of faithful service, Pastor Janet embodied the values of grace, humility, and unwavering devotion to God. Pastor Janet was a dedicated woman of God who’s passion was teaching the word of God to advance the body of Christ. She was a pillar of strength to her family, her church, and the broader community, always offering a listening ear and words of encouragement. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she ministered to, counseled, and loved.

She is survived by her 8 Children and their spouses, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Pastor Janet was married for 44 years to her soulmate, Bishop Tyrone Escoffery, who preceded her in death. Though our hearts ache at her departure, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, having fulfilled her calling with dignity and grace.

A celebration of Pastor Janet’s life and ministry will be held at Peel Pentecostal Tabernacle on Thursday May 15, 2025 at 10:00am, where family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness are invited to honor her memory. The family kindly requests that all guests attending wear all white for the celebration service.
