Obituary of Basil Wayne Chambers

On March 19, 2025, Basil Wayne Chambers, also known as Bucky, transitioned at the age of 63 in Toronto, ON.

Basil was born and raised in White Hall, St. Thomas, Jamaica. He was the 3rd of 4 children (Artnel, Marcia, Lawrence), and has many adopted siblings. He was raised by his grand mother (Miss Miriam), before migrating to Canada with his mother (Avis Phillips) on January 6, 1974 at the age of 12.

Known for his infectious personality, comedic relief, and talent for music and rhymes; Basil also known as Bucky, became well known in the community of Rexdale, even being coined the name "Mr.Rexdalian". He was intelligent, full of wisdom and shifted any room he walked into.

Basil was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, grand uncle, and friend. He has left a legacy on this Earth which will live on forever. He is in no more pain and can sleep peacefully.
