Obituary of Gordon Anthony Yong

Gordon Anthony Yong (aka: Yongie) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in his residence. He was only 75 years old. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, November 17th, 1949, son of late George Yong, and surviving mother, Rosie Yong. Gordon is survived by his only child; son, Gavin Yong (Stacy); four grandchildren, Naethan Yong, AeJah Yong, Gavin Jaemes Yong, Jaeson Yong; one sister, Jackie Puddicombe; and one brother, Gregory Yong. Gordon was a passionate and generous father (grandfather) who was full of charisma, humour, wit, and common  sense. He was calculated, he counted the cost of what he did, as anything he put his hands to was done with excellence. He worked for Ford Motor Company in autobody and painting for many years and retired. Fishing was one of his greatest passions as he enjoyed the sport and the  friendships, young and old.
