Obituary of Diana Valerie Smith

Diana Valerie Smith, born December 24, 1954, was welcomed into eternal rest on December 5, 2024. She lived a life full of love, joy, and unwavering faith, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.

Diana was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her 8 children, 26 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Diana also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, her cherished church family, and an extended network of countless family members and friends who loved her deeply.

Known for her radiant smile and bubbly personality, Diana had a unique gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and appreciated. Her warmth and kindness touched all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her presence brightened every room she entered.

Diana’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found immense joy and purpose in her church community. She was an active and dedicated member, always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement. Her light shone brightly in her acts of service and the way she inspired others to live with compassion and grace.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the countless ways she made the world a better place.

A celebration of Diana’s life will be held at Mount Zion Apostolic Church - Malton on Saturday, December 28, 2024, where family and friends are invited to honour her memory and legacy.
