From the day you walked into our lives you have always been there for us. You knew my struggles and would drop everything to help me and the kids when we needed help. You even moved in so you and Pops would take shifts to make sure kids got to school and I got to work. You always protected us whenever possible. You were my chaperone, knight, friend and brother. I gonna miss your voice, laughter, and big heart. Especially hearing “Yo fams, I’m here! Hey sis, you good?” You helped me find strength I never knew I had. And when you needed me the most I had your back. It’s not fair your gone and gonna miss you so much! Gone but never forgotten. Rest in Peace Kay! Kailar, when we first met it was in December 2003, I was scared of you, you in your hoodie and tough guy persona. When you and your mom moved me in 2009, you were the most amazing caring young man. I always liked your hugs, I was so short next to you. You will forever be inside my heart. I know that you are now at peace. I will look out for your mom, you know I will take good care of her. We have alot of great memories. Love you Kailar.

Dear Kailar, The memories are like tidal waves. The first day we met, I loved you. You stole our father’s face. Who you belonged to was no mistake. The weekends I spent we would stay up all night, knowing church was in the morning. We didn’t care, just two siblings maximizing our time together. I would study you, you walked on your tippy toes. What a ball of energy. Remember I freaked out when I realized you had chipped your front tooth. By that time it was fixed but I could tell. You are my baby brother, you can’t get anything past me. Remember your football game I came to. I cheered for my running back loud and proud. Your mom told me “it’s a team cheer for everyone.” I think I did, yet beneath my breath I was screaming “Go Kailar!” I remember the football award ceremony. How upset you were when you didn’t get a certain award. I agreed when you said “it should’ve been me”. I have much more to say but I’ll say less. I’m going to celebrate you by staying active, healthy, and in shape. Till we meet again little brother rest easy in absolute peace. -Love your half sister Janelle
