Obituary of Nijol Martin Benjamin

Nijol Martin Benjamin was born on May 25th 1963 in Port of Spain Trinidad.  He was the first child of Claude Benjamin & Joyce Davis-Benjamin. Brother to Claude II, Nadine, & Ja-Anne.

He lived in Trinidad for seventeen years where he attended Belmont Boys RC, and St. Mary's College. Nijol later immigrated to Toronto Canada where he attended Parkdale Collegiate & Seneca College.  He then went to work as a Loss Prevention Officer, & then became a private investigator. He then went to study at George Brown College & graduated as a Paralegal.

He was the father of Brent, Shari, Tara, Nijol, & Nathan, & in many ways to his niece and nephew Shanice & Claude-Anthony. Also the Doting grandfather of Vivian, Jada, & Zariah.

Nijol inherited his family values from his grandmother, Evelyn Davis and his passion for law enforcement from his father & his grandfather, Theophilius Davis.

Nijol was described by friends & family to be fun loving, a good listener & generous. He always went above & beyond to help others when able.  He will be greatly missed by his friends & family, & anyone who had the pleasure in knowing him.

On January 22 2023 at Etobicoke General Hospital, Nijol left to join his loved ones who have gone before him.

Nijol, thank you for being apart of our lives. We are all going to miss YOU.
