Obituary of Monica Matilda Lowe
Thank you to everyone.
In loving memory of Mrs. Monica Matilda Lowe, affectionately known as Pinky, was born On December 5, 1939, in Jamaica, West Indies in the district of Mile End, Ocho Rios, in the parish of St. Ann. This was her beautiful home where she grew up with her Cousins, and with her Brothers and her Sisters: Veronica who moved to England whom she loved dearly, Muriel (whom she called Aunt B), Lilette (whom she called Hazel), Sydney also known as Mush, Lester, and her special love and bond with her sister Roselee (whom she called Rosie) whom she leaves behind, and whom she loved with all her heart and soul.
We all have and truly feel the pain as we express our condolences. Let us keep our heads up and be thankful. Our father, Mr. Stephen Lowe, (aka Brown Man), passed November 1, 2021, and can now once again be reunited with his wife. Knowing they are both in a better place rejoicing in the afterlife, remembering and looking over us. Our mother that most know as Aunt Pinky, is to be laid to rest in Jamaica beside her husband who she has had an amazing almost 63 years of marriage together.
Monica leaves behind her six children, Dorec, Errol, Loyton (Budgie), Karen (Debbie), Stephen, and Gregory. She loved each and every one of her Grandchildren, Tyler, Devon, Stephanie, Nathan, CoraLyn, Margret, Nichole, and Justin, and all her beautiful Great Grandchildren. Monica Lowe leaves behind many Nieces and Nephews, many Grand Nieces, and Grand Nephews, tons of Cousins, In-Laws, Friends, and Family members across many countries.
The Lowe family is truly blessed for having such wonderful people in our lives. It is emotional yes, as we hold it together for our mother who has left behind a Legacy of Dreams & Reality for a lot of us; our immediate families and friends living this very day throughout the USA, Canada, England, and the Caribbean.
Mommy was a great cook and baked the best cakes! She could dance and sing to her hearts content. She loved to sew and master her craft, even learning how to make curtains! She could sew anything. She crocheted doilies and collected dolls as a hobby. Her all-time favourite past time was watching Wrestling!! Yes, Mommy was glued to the set when the wrestlers were on. Excited, laughing, and yelling at the screen and throwing her hands in the air as she watched them perform--- this made her incredibly happy. Our Mom was super smart and excelled in school as a youngster through to adulthood. Mom was trendy and tech savvy. She attended George Brown College in Canada, and later became a Phlebotomist. Her ultimate passions and love were being a Housewife spoiling our Dad and he in turn spoiling her. It was lovely to see! Mommy was a kind and caring person, a caregiver, and wonderful Mother, always looking out for others, until the day she passed. Monica liked to travel, go to Church, read, and lived and practiced a holistic lifestyle. She was really into her herbal remedies, healthy eating, exercising and loved fashion. We love you Mom and thank you for everything in our life –
She is highly missed. Our hearts are broken. We will see you again Mommy Lowe. Six Love! Amen!
