Obituary of Jean Amilda Taylor
Jean Amilda Taylor of Ottawa passed away peacefully in her ninetieth year on July 27, 2022 in Toronto. Born in Barbados to the late Fitzgerald and Ismay Taylor, Jean immigrated to England to pursue a nursing career. As a registered nurse and midwife she took her nursing skills to Ottawa, Canada where she worked as an ICU nurse at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for over thirty years. Nursing was more than a career for Jean it was a calling to which she devoted her life.
She was the loving sister of Mignon (George deceased) Barker, Elrick, Elviston (Sonia), Marion and Edwin (Claudette) Taylor. Predeceased by brother Calvin(Carmen) Browne and sister Ernetta (Hugh) Pearce.
Beloved aunt of Carol-Ann and Dave Barker, Jennie (Ian) Lashley, Bonnie Pearce, Tracy, Karen, Glenn (Kate) and Duane Taylor, Lisa (Corey) Johnson , Amanda (Adam) Forrest.
Great Aunt of Daniel, Josephine, and Charlotte Pearce, Deisdre, Yohance and Deion Barker, Ashlyn Downes, Aliyah and Aaron Lashley, Kara and Evelyn Taylor, Charlie and Deliah Forrest, Anthony Barker and Tyler Johnson.
*While there are no limits on number of attendees the family has requested all in attendance, over five years and older wear a mask.*
