Friend, it was shocking and unexpected to learn of your passing. You were a great colleague that we thoroughly enjoyed working with. You had a smile on your face and in your heart and always willing to roll up your sleeves to help out! I do not know what words i can offer to the loving family who must miss you so dearly, but know that your dad/husband was well loved! Rest well my friend!

I recently just found out about this sad news. My condolences to the Wills family. Dwayne and I worked for many years together at IBM as TSMs. He was always kind and I remember his calm demeanour. Nothing would upset him. A great person and sadly missed.

I send my deepest condolences to Dwayne's family and loved ones. I worked with Dwayne at Kyndryl. He was such a kind person, always smiling and enjoying the world, even with all the stress around him. I used to tell him he was in the wrong business, that he had a radio voice and should be on the airwaves. He was always there to help anyone. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Dwayne and our small group share a love for music, dancing, laughter and the occasional late-night McD drivethru. He always made sure his family was set before meeting up and then he always made sure we all made it home at the end of the night. This is Dwayne. A man you could count on, a man you could trust. One of the best humans I’ve ever known. Till next we meet on the dancefloor, rest easy my friend.

Yesterday I said good bye to a great friend and dance buddy Dwayne Wills. We first met in highschool in the early 90s. In recent years we were fortunate to reconnect through our friend Kaye. Despite our busy lives with our families, work and general adulting responsibilities we have been meeting up at different 90's jams in Toronto solidly for the last 3 years. Dancing to the music from our youth, laughing, joking around, late night eats and just good times made up our evenings. He was such a good person. And I do not say that lightly. So many words come to mind when I think about Dwayne. He was kind, thoughtful, fun, happy, charming and the best caliber of human. I will miss him dearly. I'm very sad he is gone. May you rest in peace Dwayne. I'm grateful that I was able spend the last few years with you in friendship. Thank you for being my friend. To Desiree, Andre and Jarren his many family and friends my deepest condolences. He will forever be watching over all of us.

It is with such sadness I write this, I can count the days I last spoke to Dwayne after hearing of his passing. I feel like my time with Dwayne was cut short, he was my Manager at Kyndryl and although our time together professionally was not the longest, in the year we have known each other as peers and eventually he as my boss, it was simply easy working with Dwayne. He always brought a sense of calm, he kept many of us grounded, He was a man who did things with intent and careful thought and every action, every word seemed to have purpose. He humbled me in many ways and he was never afraid to say “i want to learn” from you, when in fact, I wanted to learn from him! He was always empathetic and cared about people and he would always ensure he never rushed you or made you feel unheard. My deepest condolences to Dwayne’s family, to those who loved him and cared for him. He is deeply missed,

It is with severe sadness and a heavy heart that I write this message for the passing of Dwayne Wills. I only met once or twice but am familiar with his mother and siblings. Losing a husband, a father, a child, or a sibling in such short thrift is an unspeakable tragedy. This loss imposes a sorrow so profound that it seems almost impossible to find the right words to convey compassion and empathy. I can’t imagine the weight of your sorrow but truly understand the anguish and the depth of your pain. The bond between a parent and a son is unbreakable, even by death. Dwayne’s life was a testament to the love and guidance you provided. He will always be remembered. I’m sending all my love and best wishes during this heart-wrenching time. Please convey my sentiments to his wife, children, siblings, and the extended family. Victor R. Moses

Growing up, Dwayne was my neighbour and he was my role model when it came to starting my career in IT. The first time I interacted with him was when I interviewed him about his job for my Careers class in high school. He knew I was a nervous high school kid and was so kind and professional to answer all my questions. Years later, I decided to pursue a career in IT and he was always happy to talk shop when we were in front of our homes. I'm going to miss you Dwayne. I'll never forget your kindness and how you played a big part in guiding my career

I’ll never forget the first day I met Dwayne. I was in grade nine. I was new to Mississauga moving from Bramalea, starting a new high school, encountering new people, and didn’t have many new friends yet. Dwayne was in grade ten. His locker was a few lockers away from mine. Being the Dwayne we all know and love, he introduced himself to me with his big smile and kind eyes and we instantly hit it off. His warmth, thoughtfulness, and humour eased all my anxiety that came with being in grade nine. He would always have a smile on his face and always had something funny to say. High school was much more enjoyable with a genuine friend like Dwayne. He is someone that I could honestly, and without any hesitation, say would have my back. He is one of the most solid and nicest humans I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful for our decades-long friendship and the support he’s given to me and my whole family. My deepest sympathies to Desiree, Jaron, Andre and everyone that has been impacted by this devastating loss. He will always be missed. My memories of Dwayne will live forever because that’s the type of person he is - unforgettable.

My heart aches for the loss of my dear friend Dwayne. He brought so much light and laughter into everyone’s life, and I will always cherish the memories we shared. Dwayne was more than a friend he was family. His kindness, generosity, and spirit will never be forgotten. Losing Dwayne leaves a hole in my heart that can never be filled. I am grateful for every moment we spent together and will carry his memory with me always. May Dwayne rest in peace, and may we find comfort in knowing how much he was loved and how deeply he touched the lives of those around him. Wishing strength and peace to everyone who is grieving Dwayne’s loss. His legacy of friendship and love will live on in all of us.

I was very fortunate to cross paths with Dwayne at Kyndryl as we connected on a newly created team tasked to bring forth a great amount of change in the organization. With change comes uncertainty, adversity and conflict and it was Dwayne’s calm and patient approach peppered with his great sense of humour and well-timed movie references that contributed greatly to our success. His presence is greatly missed on our daily calls. Please accept my condolences and deepest sympathy for your loss. Alison Cope

Dwayne had a truly remarkable — even profound — ability to bring a sense of calm assurance and genuine appreciation into any room, conversation, or group. His presence, grounded in technical knowledge and capability, left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him. It was an honor to have known such a giant of a fellow citizen. Blessings to those he left behind.

There are truly no words that can ease the pain of such a tragic loss. Dwayne was, without a doubt, one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever known. We worked together for over 20 years at IBM and Kyndryl, and I was so happy when he became my peer Manager. Dwayne always offered to help others regardless of how heavy his workload was, he will be missed by many of us. That’s the kind of impact he had—on me personally, and on so many others here at work. He will be deeply missed. God bless you and your family. Sincerest Condolences, Brad

I met Dwayne almost 25 years ago when I first joined IBM (there were quite a few of us at that time as we came to IBM from an outsourcing deal). He took us all under his wing and made the transition so easy for us, always smiling, laughing and showing us the way. We kept in touch as his career flourished and again, each of our encounters were with a smile and a laugh, and much kindness. He was a hardworking, honest, sincere person and he has been taken WAY too soon. Rest in Peace Dwayne. My condolences to Dwayne's beautiful family. Cathy Nicholov
